CT SCAN ENT

A  CT scan of the ENT (ear, nose, and throat)  is an imaging technique used to evaluate the structures within the head and neck, including the sinuses, nasal passages, throat, and surrounding tissues. This scan provides detailed cross-sectional images of these areas, helping to diagnose conditions such as sinusitis, nasal polyps, tumors, infections, and abnormalities in the throat. The procedure involves the patient lying on a table that moves through the CT scanner while multiple images are taken. In some cases, contrast material may be used to enhance the visibility of certain structures. This non-invasive imaging method is crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning in ENT disorders.
